Extending the payroll tax cut until the end of this year is a welcome and important economic stimulus that will help millions of working families. Now let’s focus on bigger changes that will bring more fairness to our tax code—and make progress on economic equality. While the top one percent of earners in our country are getting richer, the rest of Americans are being left behind.

Last night, Stacey participated in the Democratic Club of Southern Sonoma County‘s candidate forum in Petaluma. Stacey helped set the tone of the debate with her relentless focus on creating middle-class jobs. Check out the Press Democrat article: “Stacey…advocated biomass and biofuel development, putting the region’s natural resources to productive use. She also proposed niche manufacturing and sustainable agriculture, calling for improved access to capital as a means to spur small businesses.”
